They soon started a family and built a home on Loon Lake at the entrance to Copper Falls State Park where they raised their family.

Agnes was an active 4-H leader for many years while her children were growing up; being actively involved in many projects from raising rabbits and pigs to growing vegetables and fruits. Agnes was in several scenes of Ernest Hemmingway's movie “Adventures of a Young Man” which was filmed in Mellen in the early 1960's.

Agnes worked at Louisiana Pacific as an accountant before retiring in 1992. She enjoyed gardening and was well known for her love of roses, her huge vegetable and berry gardens as well as baking cookies for the grandchildren. She cared for her disabled daughter, Kristin Lynn, at home for over 65 years showing the true love of a mother for her child.

Agnes is survived by her brother, Floyd (Glenda) Marita; all six of her children: Arthur Robert (Timothy) of Boring, OR; Mark Jerome (Mary) of City Point, WI; Roberta Lee (Floyd) June of Marshfield, WI; Joseph Michael (Debbie) of Mellen, WI; Kristin Lynn of Marshfield, WI; and Eric Charles of Kaukauna, WI; as well as 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Elizabeth and John Marita; siblings: John, Joseph, and Martin: and grandsons, Daryl and Matthew Anderson.
