Barbara Jane Hiller

Barbara Jane Hiller, age 92, of  Marshfield, passed away Saturday, April  20, 2024 at Wells Nature View in Marshfield. A Funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April  26, 2024 at East Gate Alliance  (Becker Rd ) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held at East Gate Alliance from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, April 26 

Barb was born March 27, 1932, the daughter of Kenneth Sherwood and Dorothy Sherwood (Dorothy Erikson) in Janesville, WI. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1950.  On August 9, 1952, Barb was united in marriage to the love of her life Donald Hiller in Janesville, WI. They were married for 54 years. Barb graduated from UW Stout in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. Barb and Don moved to Franklin Park, IL where Don began his teaching career.  In 1963, Don and Barb relocated their family to Marshfield, where they purchased the former Noll Hardware Store and started Hiller’s True Value Hardware.  They retired in 1995 and the store was purchased by their son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Jill Hiller

Barb was a member of East Gate Alliance Church, Awana, Worship Team (East Gate Alliance), Marshfield Civic Band, and UW Wood County Symphonic Band.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing her trombone, and being an AWANA leader for 30 years.  She especially enjoyed knitting and crocheting gifts for family and friends.  Barb was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Barb is lovingly survived by her children: Dave (Diane) Hiller of Monticello WI, Karen (David) Ozzello of St. Charles IL, Philip (Jill) Hiller of Marshfield, James Hiller of Marshfield, John (Beth) Hiller of Baldwin WI, and Michael (Anjo) Hiller of Chicago IL .  She is further survived by 17 grandchildren, Andrea (Josh) Rabel, Timothy (Brandee) Hiller, David (Megan) Ozzello, Nicholas (Lisa) Ozzello, Benjamin (Nicki) Ozzello, Daniel (Laura) Hiller, Amber (Kevin) Stueland, Ryan (Danielle) Hiller, Matthew (Katelin) Hiller, Jeron Hiller, Bryan Hiller, April (Sean) Lanehart, Alexis Hiller, Brian (Samantha) Bean, Brittany (William Fralin) Bean, Tyler (Mariah) Hiller, and Cassie Aguilar Aguada ; 22 great-grandchildren, Nora, Thomas and Claire Rabel, Gideon and Hazel Hiller, Marcus and Bennett Ozzello, Hunter Ozzello, Autumn, Cedar and Willamena Hiller, Jace, Sadie and Logan Stueland, Audrey, Hudson, Nolan and Baby Hiller, Tyson, Ramsey and Harper Lanehart and Josie Bean. She will truly be missed.

Barb is preceded in death by her parents: Kenneth and Dorothy, as well as her husband Donald Hiller
