Betty Petersen Obituary

Our dear mother and grandmother, Betty Jean Petersen (Ramker) passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 92 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Born to Edith and John Ramker on January 5, 1932, she was the youngest of six children.

Betty married Floyd Petersen in 1950. Together, they raised four children in Marshfield, Wisconsin: Larry (Jan) Petersen of Cottonwood, Arizona, Patty Bell (Tom Bell, deceased) of Berlin, Wisconsin, Cindy (Craig) Koerten of Edgerton, Wisconsin, and Randy (Linda) Petersen of DeSoto, Missouri.

They were blessed to have loved eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Betty brightened the lives of many, from co-workers to friends in the community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, riding horses, square dancing with our dad, camping, and spending time in the sun. Always full of fun and laughter. In retirement, she and dad enjoyed many adventures on the road. They both loved to travel and spent their winters in Florida. She will be dearly missed by many.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2024, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy.) in Marshfield. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
