Norma Potter Obituary

Norma F. Potter of Marshfield, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024, at the age of 98. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on March 18, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (201 W Blodgett St, Marshfield, WI ). Norma will be laid to rest in St. Anthony’s Catholic cemetery in Loyal following the service. A dinner will follow at Loyal Sportsman's Club (W3552 Chickadee Road) following the committal service.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the church beginning 11:30 until time of service. Father Dan Thelen will officiate. The honor of pallbearer belongs to her grandchildren Mike Frankwick, Kerry Frankwick, Craig Tritz, Marci Griesbach, Matt Rollins, Stacy Lindner, Daric Potter, Amanda Hiles, Jenna Hemp, Ryan Potter.

Norma was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born April 7, 1925

 to Robert and Anna (Thomas) Strey. She attended Romadka country grade school and graduated from Granton High School. Following graduation she worked at Wepfer Pharmacy in Loyal. She married Robert on June 8, 1950. They farmed in Spokeville until Robert’s death in 1982. She continued to farm with her son and daughter-in-law until she moved to Marshfield. She worked part time at Wing’s Hallmark store for fourteen years and enjoyed working there and the “Hallmark friends” she made.

She will be deeply missed by her family Kathleen/Michael Wood, Karen/Ken Tritz, Sharon/Denny Rollins, Randy Potter/Julie Wolf, Steve/Joli Potter; her grandchildren; Tonya Frankwick, Kerry Frankwick, Craig/Deahlee Tritz, Marci/Wes Griesbach, Matt/Tami Rollins, Stacy/Luke Lindner, Daric Potter/Stacy Petkovsek, Amanda/Dave Hiles, Jenna/JonHemp, Ryan Potter/Taylor Custer and her great-grandchildren: Cotique Multerer, Brooklyn Ostricki, Daden Barclay, Braxton and Keegan Tritz, Erin and Morgan Griesbach, Koral and Chase Lindner, Davey Hiles, Karli, Alexa and Mya Gross and Lincoln Hemp.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, grandson Michael Frankwick and great-grandson Evan Griesbach. She was also preceded in death by her parents Robert/Anna Strey and her brothers and sisters: Elsie/George Fricke, Ernest/Violet Strey, Helen/Manuial Domine, Hazel/Marvin Seeman,

Earlen/Rosa Strey, Raymond Strey, Victor/Delores Strey, Laverne/Leonard Morin, Ceylon /Martha Strey, Robert/Joann Strey.

We would like to thank staff from Aster’s Assisted Living, Heartland Hospice and Inclusa for their care and kindness particularly during mom’s final days.
