James “Jim” O. Bliese, age 82, of Spencer, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at Colonial Health and Rehab in Colby. Services will be held at Noon Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. Fr. Barry Saylor will officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday. Military Honors will be performed at the funeral home following the service by Stratford Memorial VFW Post 6352 Honor’s Team.

Jim was born December 19, 1941, the son of Villas and Stella Bliese in Watertown, Wisconsin. He graduated from Milby High School in Houston, TX. On October 10, 1992, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Connie Day-Bliese, at Old World Wisconsin in the Old Catholic Church in Kettle Moraine, WI.

In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing, walks with our little Cocker Spaniel, Cookie, and was a big Packer Fan. He especially enjoyed Summers at our Cabin in Chetek, WI. Those who knew Jim best will miss his smile and his kind ways, and his love of nature and the birds. His favorite was the Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal.

Jim is lovingly survived by his wife, Connie; and their Cocker Spaniel, Cookie.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents: Villas and Stella Bliese.
