Adeline Lee Obituary

Adeline R. Lee, age 95 of Marshfield, formerly of Chili, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Three Oaks Golden Living Center in Marshfield. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield. The Rev. Ruth Egerer will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield and from 9:30 AM until time of services Thursday at the church. Burial will take place in Immanuel United Methodist Cemetery in the town of Fremont, Clark Co. Adeline was born July 22, 1915 in the town of Fremont, Clark County, the daughter of August C. and Louise (Schilling) Foemmel. She graduated from Granton High School. On June 9, 1937, the former Adeline Foemmel was united in marriage to Wenzel Lee. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1987. Together they farmed near Chili until 1970. Adeline began working at the Marshfield Care Center in 1972 as a Nurses' Aide retiring in 1987. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Chili where she was active in the Ladies' Aid for many years. Adeline also became a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshfield after she moved to Marshfield. She enjoyed fishing and traveling in their RV. Later Adeline traveled around the world, including China, Israel and Alaska. After her retirement, she learned how to make wedding cakes which she proudly made for some of her grandchildren's weddings. Adeline especially loved and was proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Adeline is lovingly survived by her two sons, Eldon (Rosemary), Indio, CA and Norbert (Janice), Stratford, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Arlene Lee, Platteville. She is further survived by a brother, Forest Foemmel, Chili and two sisters, Alvina Korth, Ft. Atkinson and Violet (Walter) Korth, Cambridge, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Besides her parents, August and Louise, and husband, Wenzel, Adeline was preceded in death by her son, Roger and daughter, Kathryn, an infant sister, and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Foemmel and a brother-in-law, Wilbert Korth.
