Agnes (Volak) Bratton

Agnes Bratton, age 98, of Marshfield entered her eternal rest on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at her residence in the Aster Assisted Living.

Funeral services for Agnes will be held at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mark Krueger officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be one hour before the time of service at the funeral home.

Agnes was born on January 1, 1924, in Washburn, WI to Peter and Mary (Wygnaniec) Volak. She graduated from Ondosagen High School in Washburn, WI. and then attended nursing school in Rochester, MN.

She was united in marriage to Theodore H. Bratton on February 21, 1948.  Ted passed away on December 22, 1995. She worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and was head nurse at Marshfield Convalescent Home and Bethel Nursing and Rehab until her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Theodore (Diane) Bratton, and JoAnn (Randy) Oppman, both of Marshfield, her grandchildren, Steve (Letha) Oppman of Oshkosh, Jeff (Val) Oppman of Marshfield, Paul (Kim) Oppman of Harshaw, WI Tammy (Chris) Bratton of Lenexa, KS, and Kenneth Bratton, of Hastings, MN, and her great-grandchildren, Holden Oppman, Ryder Oppman, of Marshfield, and Kinzie Jo Oppman of Harshaw, WI.
