Alice Peterson Obituary

Alice Jean (Restemayer) Peterson, age 90, of Marshfield, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, May 21st, 2022 at the Marshfield Medical Center. Alice went peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Although we grieve the loss of her worldly life, we celebrate the beauty of her eternal victory in Christ.

A celebration of life will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kwon from Zion United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m., until the time of service, at the Funeral Home. Alice will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery immediately following the service.

Alice was born April 21st, 1932, the daughter of Milton and Lydia (Staldt) Restemayer in Cavalier, North Dakota

She attended Cavalier High School where she graduated in 1950.

On June 20th, 1950 Alice married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Peterson. Alice and Bob resided in multiple states while Bob was in the Army.  In June of 1969 Bob and Alice moved to Marshfield, where Alice lovingly raised her family, while working several different jobs. Later in life, Alice and Bob owned and operated Mobile Transport Systems. They operated the business until Bob’s death in 1997.  Alice continued on with the business and retired in 1998.

Alice will always be remembered for beautiful flower gardens and her blue bottle bush. She passed that love of gardening onto many of her grandchildren. Alice enjoyed traveling with Bob in the winter months where they had many adventures in Arizona and other western states. She always enjoyed traveling back to North Dakota to visit her family. Alice was also an avid reader with her library of books shared with many of her family.

People who knew her will remember her for her love of Jesus and time spent in bible studies. Family was very important to Alice and she loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow. She also loved family gatherings on the holidays.

Alice is lovingly survived by her daughter in law, Joni (Ken) Peterson. Sons, Randy (Vicki) Peterson, Gerry (Gayle) Peterson, Rob (Peggy) Peterson and daughter Jody (Ed) Andreae all of the Marshfield area.

Sister in laws Helen (Earl) Restemayer and Linda (Russel) Restemayer, of North Dakota.

Grandchildren Heidi (Andrew) Topping, Aaron (Lana) Peterson, Elizabeth (Kendrick) Matthews, Mary Peterson, Jeremiah (Tori) Peterson, Becky (Josh) Ponshock, Matt (Sarah) Peterson, Nate (Jillian) Peterson, Cassi Peterson, Ben Andreae, Kyle (Samantha) Andreae, Dakota (Fiancé Faustina Zertler) Andreae and twelve great grandchildren.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her son Ken (Dak) Peterson, siblings Mabel (Restemayer) Kerlin, Earl Restemayer and Russel Restemayer.
