Alma Esther Lambert, a faithful servant of God, passed away on September 23rd, entering her eternal home in Heaven. She was reunited with her beloved husband Delor Lambert, daughter Judy Zirnhelt, daughter-in-law Lorenda Lambert, and several other dear family members who went before her.
Alma was born on February 22, 1931, to Albertina and Claude Reeves in Waukesha, Wisconsin. She spent much of her early life in the Ladysmith area. In 1948, she married Delor Lambert. Together they raised their family in Babcock and Pittsville. Alma’s home was always a welcoming place to anyone who visited. She was devoted to her family and her faith, which were central to her life.
Alma had a creative spirit and enjoyed crocheting and making handmade gifts for her friends and loved ones. She was a devoted prayer warrior, praying faithfully for others. Alma loved traveling throughout the United States with her family and attending reunions with Del’s Army buddies from World War 2, creating cherished memories on their many adventures. Alongside her husband, she was a founding member of Faith Fellowship Church, where they helped many come to know the Lord.
She is survived by her children: Gary Lambert, Kathy and Kevin Boyles, Wayne and Sharon Lambert, Lori and Marty LeGrand, and Bill Zirnhelt. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters (Evelyn and Peggy), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy, Marshfield, WI) at 2:00 p.m. on October 26. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Special thanks to all who spent time with Alma, especially the caring staff and friends at Three Oaks. She found much joy in her later years there.
