Amy Jo Van Wyhe, age 52, passed away Thursday, November 2nd, 2023 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield on Thursday November 9th, 2023. Visitation 9am to 11am with a brief service to follow.
Amy was born May 17, 1971 to Judith (Heath, Van Wyhe) and Rodger Van Wyhe. Growing up, sports, fishing, horse back riding and any out door sports were her thing.
She graduated from Pittsville High School. She later graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Antonio University with a business degree. Before retiring for health reasons, she was the accounting manager for the city of Marshfield, a job she enjoyed very much.
Amy lived in this area and Shell Lake and San Antonio for 15 years. She spent time with her beloved nephews Tim and Ryan and many cousins that were very special to her.
She traveled with her sister and Mom to Aruba, Costa Rico and Puerto Rico with great stories of snorkeling in the ocean and horseback riding in the rain forest.
Her dogs, Steele and Cooper, her cat and her chickens brought sunshine to her days. She loved her walks in the Mead wildlife area and the time she spent on the cranberry marsh watching the wildlife there.
Her strength, courage and grace during her 3 year struggle with leukemia never wavered. She lovingly appreciated the Mayo transplant team, the Be The Match organization, the oncology staff at Eau Claire and the post op staff at Riverview.
She is survived by her parents, her sister Holly Ravelle and special people in her life Ray Labarge and Pam (her second mom).
She was preceded in death by her loving significant other, Tim Samuelson.
Her wit, her kindness, her laugh will be missed by all that knew her. Amy, thank you for being in our lives.
