Ardith Marion (Messmann) Hendrickson

Ardith Marion Hendrickson, 89, of Marshfield, WI, died February 6, 2026 at Wells Nature View. Services will be February 21, 2026 at Hansen Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 E. Veterans Parkway, Marshfield. Visitation: 9–11 am; service and luncheon to follow.

Ardith was born January 23, 1937, the daughter of Robert and Marion Messmann at home in the township of Medford.

Ardith graduated from Medford High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Donald Hendrickson at Immanuel Lutheran Church on December 3,1955 in Medford Wi.

Ardith worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company for 40 years, where she formed many lasting friendships.

She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church as well as the UFCW Union, Jaycettes and Piece Makers Quilt Guild.

Ardith absolutely loved to quilt with her friends and take road trips to quilt shows.

She loved family, faith, cooking, gardening, reading, fishing, camping with a hot fire and cold beer. She always needed to be doing something and enjoyed helping others.

Ardith is lovingly survived by two daughters, Lori (Larry) Stute and Judy (Larry) Burt. Along with grandchildren Michael (Sarah) Stute, Scott (Stacee) Stute, Brandon (Marty) Burt and Kelly (Mark) Kleba. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.

Her brother Galen (Lois) Messman, sisters-in-law Maridene Federwitz, Karleen Hendrickson and Debbie Kurz. Brothers-in-law Gary Hendrickson and Bill (Linda) Hendrickson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ronald, her brothers Howard and Herbert (Evelyn) Messman, in-laws Jerold, Harold (Betty) Hendrickson, Vollie Hendrickson, Myron Federwitz, and Fritz Hendrickson.
