Betty J. Plath

Betty Jane Plath, age 98, of Marshfield, WI passed away early Friday, February 27, 2026, at Three Oaks Health Services in Marshfield. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, March 6, 2026, at Hansen Schilling Funeral Home (1010 East Veterans Parkway,| Marshfield, WI 54449). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of the service on March 6. Burial will take place at a later date.

Betty was born July 9, 1927, the daughter of Tollef and Laura (Hopp) Moen in Arpin, WI. on December 20, 1947, Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life Vernon Plath at Immanual Lutheran Church in Marshfield, WI. Vernon passed away in 1991.

She was a member of Immanual Luther Church where she enjoyed volunteering.

In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, bowling, quilting, and word search puzzles. She especially enjoyed spending time with family. 

Betty is lovingly survived by her children: Luane Lucht (Michael) of Spencer WI; and Terry Plath (Dawn) of Marshfield WI; grandchildren Richard, Jamie, Kami, Shane, and Hope. She is further survived by four great grandchildren. Betty will truly be missed.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents: Tollef and Laura; Her husband; Her children: Karen Kalson, and Jeffrey Plath; as well as siblings: Gladys Matthes, Ronald Moen, and Gerald Moen.
