Betty Rasmussen

Betty Jane Rasmussen, Clark (Haase) age 97, of Marshfield, passed away on July 5, 2021, in her home with her family beside her.

Betty was born March 20, 1924, the daughter of Paul and Sadie Haase (Brightsman) in Cornell, WI.  She attended a one room school in Menomonie, WI.

On October 26, 1945, she married Edwin Clark. They farmed in the rural Marshfield area until Edwin’s death on May 4, 1965.

She married Thomas Rasmussen on December 17, 1966. They resided in Marshfield until his death on  August 14, 1982.

She was the oldest member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Betty enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. Her favorite spot was the western states, especially Colorado. Her most enjoyment came from the slot machines from casinos around WI and even Las Vegas.

Betty worked for the Marshfield Clinic building services for over 20 years.

Betty is lovingly survived by her children, Corrine ( Rodney) Dix, Gene (Deb) Clark, Brenda Gregory, Steve (Lynn) Clark and Kevin (Amy) Clark. She adored her grandchildren: Carrie (Brad) Schmidt, Cindy Dix, Jason (Kim) Dix, Angela Clark, Lori (Jim) Carlson, Josh Olson, Justin Clark, Kristi Clark, Daniel Clark, Matthew Clark; her great-grand children: Corrtney & Callie Schmidt, Mindy Dix, Caleb Jensen, Brandon Carlson, Haily Olson, Madyson, Allyson and Jayna Dix; her step children: Carole Ziemendorf and dear friend Jules Fevrier, Linda (Jim) Clark, Kenny Rasmussen.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Sadie Haase; her in-laws, William and Cora Clark; as well as her siblings: Clarence Haase, Willard Haase, Irene Link; and her step-children: Dale Rasmussen and Bob Rasmussen.
