Beverly Ann (Parks) Kuse, age 96, of Marshfield, passed away early Sunday morning, June 30, 2024, at Wells Nature View of Marshfield.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield with the Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. The visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to service at the church. Beverly’s grandchildren, Paul Kuse, Laurel Heintz, Jeremiah Hagen, Rebekah Smith, Dr. Andrew Hennlich, Michael Hennlich, Jason Steinwagner, Natalie Wright, and Faith Steinwagner, will serve as pallbearers. The burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Beverly was born January 22, 1928, the daughter of the late Leo and Evelyn (Gilberts) Parks in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She attended Far View School in the Town of Richfield and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1946.
She was united in marriage to Howard F. Kuse on August 17, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Richfield. The couple enjoyed 66 years of marriage until Howard’s death in 2013.
Beverly and Howard took over the Kuse family farm in the Town of Cameron until 1969. They then moved to Shawano, Wisconsin, where Beverly was the food supervisor for Evergreen Nursing Home. In 1978, the couple moved back to Marshfield, where Beverly took over the hot lunch program at Immanuel Lutheran School until her retirement in 1985. In retirement, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family, going on family vacations, and being involved with various church activities. Beverly will always be remembered for her love of her Lord and Savior, the joy she brought to her family, her home cooking and delicious baking, and gracious hospitality.
Beverly is survived by her son, Dennis (Sue) Kuse of Marshfield; and her three daughters, Karen (Roland) Hagen, DeAnn (Michael) Steinwagner both of Marshfield, and Sandra (Joe) Hennlich of Sherwood, Wisconsin; Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one brother, Ronald (Shelby) Parks; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Parks of Marshfield.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband; her sister and brother-in-law, Cleo and Edward Machtan; brother, Gilbert Parks; sister and brother-in-law, Loraine and Elmer Holtman; and a sister-in-law, Marguerite Schirmacher.
Memorials in memory of Beverly may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Immanuel Lutheran Youth Group.
