Brian David Dix, 61, of Marshfield passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Marshfield Medical Center on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Services will be on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home. Visitation will take place Friday, July 17, 2026 beginning at 10 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home.
Brian was born February 23, 1965 to Lyle and Judith (Weiss) Dix in Marshfield. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1983. After graduation he worked at the family business alongside his father until 2005. Brian then did carpentry work until his retirement.
On October 19, 1984, Brian was united in marriage to his highschool sweetheart, Lisa Genteman. They enjoyed 33 wonderful years together making memories and raising their family. A few years after Lisa's passing, Brian found love again with Linda Berkholtz and they spent 10 great years together.
Brian enjoyed being outdoors, his favorite things were hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. He also loved sitting by a campfire, spending time with his family, grandchildren, and his beloved dog Bailey. Brian spent many years hanging out with friends shooting pool and throwing bags. Those who knew him best would say he always had a smile on his face. Brian treated everyone as a friend and was always kind. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is lovingly survived by his parents, Lyle and Judith Dix; children: Jacob (Tina) Dix, Jered Dix, and Justin (Krissy) Dix; grandchildren: Kaelyn, Easton, Lilliana, Laynelee, Landon, Ryot, Brynn, and Lexi; sister, Melanie (Jordan) Franklin; and brother-in-law, David Genteman: and by many nieces and nephews.
Brian is further survived by Linda Berkholtz; her children: Kristy (Nick) Peterson, Jamie (Dan) Stanley, and Jesse (Katie) Berkholtz; grandchildren: Eric, Kyle, Lucas,Trentin, Leah, Kassidy, Hayden, Elliana, Kalleigh, Sawyer, and Kolson; and great-granddaughter, Madelynn.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Deloris Genteman; grandparents: Lyle Sr. and Hulda Dix, Willis and Leona Weiss; and sister-in-law, Pam (Steven) Cox.
