Cheryl L Derfus

Cheryl L Derfus, age 70, of  Marshfield, passed away early Saturday, June  18, 2022 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield. Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on June 30, 2022.

Cheryl was born March 23, 1952, the daughter of Richard G. and Virginia M.  (Schmitbauer) Derfus in Marshfield. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1970.    

In her spare time she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing pool in her earlier days. She especially enjoyed her loyal furry companions.  She worked at Figi’s Inc for 45 years until retirement. Those that knew Cheryl best will miss her sense of humor.

Cheryl is lovingly survived by her brother: Kevin (Mary) Derfus. She is further survived by her niece Leah Derfus, her aunt Shirley Debevec, her uncle and aunt Donald (Rachel) Derfus, and many cousins. She will truly be missed.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents: Richard Derfus, Virginia Derfus, and grandparents Alex and Anna Marie Derfus, and Arthur and Catherine Schmitbauer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to Marshfield Area Pet Shelter (MAPS).
