Cheryl Kay Nagel (Meyer), 68, of Auburndale, WI passed away Friday May 16, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center surrounded by family.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Auburndale with lunch to follow. Burial will be held privately for the family, with Mike Lutz, Eric Grube, Brad Grube, and Matt Grube serving as honorary pallbearers.
A time of visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm Friday, May 30, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Auburndale, and one hour prior to service time on Saturday. The family welcomes visitors to wear Packer attire to the visitation and/or funeral.
Mrs. Nagel was born May 14, 1957, in Marshfield, the daughter of Donald W. Meyer and Shirley A. Lutz. She was a graduate of Marshfield Senior High in 1975.
On October 29, 1977, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, the former Cheryl Meyer was united in holy marriage to Michael Nagel.
Cheryl was employed by Northern Auto in Marshfield and later stayed home to raise the kids and work alongside Mike on the dairy farm. Around 1997, Cheryl went to work for Roehl Transport in Marshfield, where she dedicated 25 years until her retirement in 2022.
In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Cheryl was an amazing baker and cherished any time spent with her grandchildren, especially watching them compete in sports. Other interests included reading, gardening, canning, crafting, mowing lawn, and let’s not forget her love for the Green Bay Packers.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Auburndale where she volunteered her time teaching Sunday School and working in the kitchen.
Remaining to cherish Cheryl’s memory are husband, Michael Nagel; children, Joshua (Jessie) Nagel, Elizabeth Nagel; grandchildren, Chesney and Landry Nagel; sisters, Linda Meyer, Connie (Paul) Corozolla, Debbie (Scott) Genett, Laurie (Brian) Pecher; brothers, Pete Christensen, Donnie (Denise) Meyer; aunt, Mary Jane (Gerald) Weis; uncle, Dick Lutz; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Cheryl in death are firstborn infant son, Benjamin Nagel; parents, Donald Meyer, Shirley Martin, Arnold and Charlotte Nagel; grandparents, Dorothy and Myron Meyer (Ma & Pa), brother, Rick Meyer, Carl Christensen; uncle, Robert Lutz, Gene Lutz, Ralph Meyer, Myron Meyer Jr., Darrel Meyer, Arnold Meyer.
A memorial will be established in Cheryl’s memory at a later date.
