Daniel Alan Akey

Daniel Alan Akey, age 53 of Marshfield, passed away December 21, 2023 at his home.

Daniel was born February 24, 1970 in Marshfield to Richard and Sylvia (Hintz) Akey. He was employed at Weinbrenner for the past 16 years, having to leave recently due to illness.

Dan enjoyed talking about his children and grandchildren and sharing pictures of them. He also loved cooking, he was a chef at a local restaurant for a few years, playing video games, and watching movies. Dan took a lot of pride in maintaining his car, a passion inherited while detailing cars at Wheelers for many years.

Dan is survived by his children: Cora, Ty, Callie, and Travis, and his grandchildren: Grayson and Maisy. He is further survived by his father Richard Akey; brother: Robert Akey; sister: Tammy (Rich) Wegner, and his nephew: Eric Wegner.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Akey and nephew James Wegner.

A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at a later date.
