David "Fuzzy" Cournoyer

David “Fuzzy” Cournoyer, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in Marshfield, WI.

David was born May 25, 1956, in Marshfield, WI to Dennis and Naomi Mae (Moh) Cournoyer. David graduated from Pittsville High School in 1974. He married the love of his life Judy Rosplock on February 26, 1977. David farmed and hauled milk from local farms to Wisconsin Dairy State Cheese in Rudolph and Lynn Dairy. local dairies for many years. He enjoyed gardening, canning, listening to country music, shooting pool, playing horseshoes, watching the Brewers at local bars, making soup and refrigerator pickles for neighbors, spending time and fishing with his grandchildren, and going out for Friday fish fries and Brewer games with his best buddy, brother-in-law, George Rosplock.

David is survived by his children: Michael (Megan) Cournoyer, Robert (Carol Sloan) Cournoyer, Jarred (Desiree) Cournoyer; grandchildren: Brittany (Jerin), Gavin, Michael Jr., Cashton, Dalton, Linkin, Noah, Allison, Raland, Trinity, Kaidon, Brysen, Annistyn, great-grandchildren, Sophie and Junior, siblings: Richard (Marilyn) Cournoyer, Ronnie (Joann) Cournoyer, Nancy (George) Joch, Bonnie Boehm, Cindy (Scott) Schara, Vickie Hilgart, Steve (Carla Panosch) Cournoyer, Jackie Cournoyer, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Ronnie and Shirley Dye and Gudy.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dennis and Naomi Cournoyer; wife Judy, son Chad and his wife Jennifer, sister Mary Cournoyer, brother Robert Cournoyer, mother and father-in-law George and Elaine Rosplock, niece Grace Schara, and nephews Travis Schara and Eric Cournoyer.

Special thanks to his sisters Vickie and Bonnie for taking David to appointments and looking after him, and sister Cindy for helping him with his herbal and nutritional supplements.

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and other staff at Marshfield Clinic and Hospital for the care given to Dave over the last 3 years. To the McMillan EMT’s and ER for their life saving efforts on his last day of life.

A memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm July 25, 2025, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home. (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy Marshfield, WI 54449). Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
