Dave was born August 25, 1974, the son of Duane and Marie (nee Bymers) Anderson in Marshfield, WI. Shortly after graduating from Spencer High School in 1993, Dave began work at Thomas Electric. He found his niche as an electrician quickly deciding to pursue and earning his journeyman’s license.
On November 11, 2000, Dave married the love of his life, Joanne Findlay, in Wausau, WI. Dave and Joanne are blessed to have two sons, Morgan and Jackson (Jack), who bring them joy and pride.
Spending time with family and friends was Dave’s favorite past time. On any given day, you could find him hunting with Morgan, gardening with Jack, teaching Sully new tricks and making Joanne laugh. He shared his love of hunting, fishing and outdoor life with his siblings, his in-laws, his Merit Electric family, anyone who stopped by his shop or gave him a call. When he was not out slaying deer or fish, he was smokin’… smoking meat. Dave had a passion for grilling and smoking and was always perfecting his recipes.
Dave is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; his two sons, Morgan and Jack; his parents, Duane and Marie; his brothers Mark (Deanna); Steve (Kristen); Dan (Rhonda); Paul (Holly); his sister Tammy (Rick); his parents-in-law Fred and Judy Findlay; his sister-in-laws Cathy (Warren) and Jeannie (Jeff) and all of his Canadian and American nieces and nephews. Dave is further survived by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Special thanks are extended to the Lincoln township Fire Department, the emergency room staff of the Marshfield Medical Center and the Child Life Program at Marshfield Medical Center.
