Donald D. Baasch

Donald Duane Baasch, age 87, of Marshfield, passed away on January 27, 2025.

He was born on June 23, 1937, in Fargo, North Dakota, to the late Elmer and Eunice (Gray) Baasch. As a teenager, he moved to Markesan, Wisconsin. On June 11, 1960, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Schmuhl.

Donald served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958, stationed in Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; sons, Gregg (Jackie), Brian (Kim), and Scott (Pam); grandchildren, Thad and Meghan, Matthew (Niki), Lane, Gunner, Natasha, Dustin, and Rhiannon and Kayleigh; and great-grandchildren.

Further survived his sister, Dolores Nelson; and brother-in-law, Fred Walker.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister, Irma Walker; brother, Gary; father-in-law, Arnold Schmuhl; and mother-in-law, Lila (Krause) Schmuhl.
