Donald Boushon Obituary

Donald A. Boushon, age 85 , formerly of Chili, passed away early Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Stratford. Private family services will be held due to the current health risks with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Donald was born January 5, 1935, the son of Frank and Ida (Wittman) Boushon in Clark County, Wisconsin. He attended the town of Fremont Schools and Marshfield High School. On November 6, 1954, Donald was united in marriage to the love of his life, Valeria Lohrman, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. He was a member of the Company C 808thTank Battalion, 84th Infantry Division of the Army. He went on to work as a Mechanic. He also worked at Pluswood, INC in Marshfield as well as the Marshfield Cannery.

He loved helping family and friends with mechanical needs or just lending a neighborly helping hand. He taught his family and grandchildren so much. He was very generous and giving of his time and love. Donald loved to mow lawns, tended to the outside yard work along with his sons. He loved to play checkers with his loved ones, and tell stories about his army days. Up until his retirement he used to love fishing as well. He loved hunting, and when he retired he just loved to look at the deer and God's beauty; as he loved the sunrises and sunsets. He was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church in Chili, WI where he was a lifetime member. He loved all of his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Val Boushon; his son Gary (Danielle) Boushon; and his two daughters, Kris Boushon and Lori (Garey) Plymesser; along with his sister, Frances Gauger of Spencer; and all of his grandchildren, step grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Ida (Wittman) Boushon, his two children, Cheryl Boushon, and Mike Boushon, along with his brothers: Arthur "Art", Harold, James, Robert, Albert, Richard, and Ronald; as well as three sisters, Loretta, Lorraine and Laura; and a great-grandson, Alex Oliver; and a step-great granddaughter, Andrea Plymesser. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, including his in-laws and all of his nephews and nieces as well.
