Donna Marie Collins

Donna Marie Collins, age 71, of Plover, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, surrounded by her three daughters. A Celebration of Life has been planned and will be held on April 11, 2026, at 12:00 pm at the Grand Rapids Lion’s Club, located at 2411 36th Street South, Wisconsin Rapids.

Donna was born on January 30, 1955, the oldest of five children, to Kenneth and Shirley (Copeland) Higgins in Stevens Point, WI.

In Donna’s spare, time she enjoyed gardening and spending endless hours in her many beautiful flower gardens. She also enjoyed camping with family, taking trips to the mountains in Pennsylvania, and riding in her UTV.

Donna retired in September of 2025. She worked at Myron Soik and Sons for 17 years and she owned a small cleaning business, Donna’s Cleaning Service, for the past 10 years.

Donna is lovingly survived by her four daughters, Tracy (Lon) Shaw, Dawn Collins, Stacy Collins (Brian Hephner), and Laurie McCanna (Cole Thatcher). She has three brothers, Larry Higgins, Ronald (Yvonne) Higgins, and Raymond (Robin) Higgins. Donna is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Meghan (Jared) Repinski, Morgan (Josh) Schladweiler, Dylan Deitz, Blake Lobner, Elise Lobner, Bret Sorensen, Kelci Pierzchalski, Braydon Hephner, Jace Hephner, Wyatt Hephner, Ryleigh Lorbecke, Genevieve Garrett, and Carson Thatcher. She has five great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by many nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Lisa.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Shirley Higgins; as well as her sister, Mary Lou Mullins. And most recently, her life partner of 40 years, Douglas McCanna.
