Donna Mae Shotwell Obituary

Donna Mae B. (Gauger) Shotwell, age 81, of Marshfield, passed away on November 24, 2025, at home surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, with visitation at 1 pm followed by a memorial service at 4 pm with a meal to follow at the Richfield Municipal Building, 8478 Richfield Drive, Marshfield.

Donna was born on February 3, 1944, to Robert and Bernadine (Stargardt) Gauger in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She was a 1961 graduate of Spencer High School. She married Richard “Dick” Shotwell on October 14, 1961, in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She worked most of her years at Marshfield Clinic in Accounting and Administration until retiring on November 1, 2009.

She was active in her church, loved gardening, traveling and spending time with her family. She had a knack for cake decorating, creative invitation poetry, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, working with children and helping in any capacity needed. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Mom’s favorite message is “get your ducks in a row so we can spend eternity together with Jesus!”

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Dick. She is lovingly survived by her children, Wendy Shotwell, and her daughter, Jackie (Dustin) Bahr; and great-grandsons, Maxwell and Beckett, Clint (Kristi) Shotwell, and their children, Lindsey (Doug Grahm) Shotwell; and great-grandchildren, Ren, Izzy and baby, Emma (Victor) Lewis; and great-granddaughters, Emery and Finley, Shelby Shotwell, Spencer (Kenzie Pizl) Shotwell, Brett (Waunita) Shotwell, and their children, Richie, Reba, Ta’ny and Demi, Tacey (Brad) Doine, and their sons Austin and Ryan, Jody (Mike) Villwock, and their sons, Elijah, Noah, Micah and Josiah. She is further survived by her siblings, Sharon (Wayne) Radue, Linda (Rand) Huber, Dawn (Lyle) Weber; brother-in-law, Larry Huber, Robert (Suzie) Gauger; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Huber.

Her family offers a special thank you to Heather and Compassus Hospice staff for the wonderful care in her last days with us.
