Eileen E. Schmutzer

Eileen E. Schmutzer age 78, of Milladore, WI passed away on Saturday August 16th at House of the Dove in Marshfield with her family at her side.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 23, 2025, at St Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Milladore. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Father Biju will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the mass.

Eileen was born on February 1st, 1947, the daughter of Sylvester and Bernadette (Weber)Mancl.  She was a 1965 graduate of Auburndale High School. After graduation she was employed at Normington Dry Cleaning, Weyerhauser and Consolidated Papers.  She married Philip Schmutzer on August 3rd, 1968, at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburndale, WI. They recently celebrated 57 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Parish in Milladore.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening. She also enjoyed having a house full of people, especially during the holidays. Mom took great pride in decorating her Christmas tree every year. Those that knew Eileen best, will miss her famous cinnamon rolls and baked goods. Mom knew how to create a feast with what she had on hand with the favorite dumplings.

After their marriage, Eileen and Phil farmed and raised 4 children in the Town of Milladore, Wood County until their retirement.  Eileen also worked at Figis, Milladore Post Office and Associated Bank in Stevens Point.

Eileen is survived by her husband Philip and four children, Jeanine (John) Karl of Auburndale, Rick (Kathy) Schmutzer of Auburndale, Denise (Tim) Willfahrt of Auburndale, and Rhonda Schmutzer of Marshfield.  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild.  She is further survived by brothers Dennis (Carol) Mancl, Russell (Carol) Mancl, Alan and (Galene) Mancl, sisters Sharon Schmutzer and Yvonne (Dave Strosin) Dombrowski, and sister in laws Sue Mancl, Nancy Brandl, Claudette, Diane and Lorraine Schmutzer.

Eileen is preceded in death by her parents Sylvester and Bernadette Mancl, bother Dale Mancl, sisters in law Susan H. Mancl and Mary Ann Meyer, brothers in law John “Jack”, Robert, Richard and James Schmutzer, Raymond Brandl and Eugene Meyer.
