Elvera "Pat" Regele

Elvera Anna Rose “Pat” Regele, age 96, of Marshfield, Wiscosin, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at Safe Haven in Marshfield.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2025, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield with Pastor Chris Schwanz officiating. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Marshfield. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

She was born on Sep. 20, 1929, in Spencer, to the late Edwin and Delia (Krause) Schwantes, and married Ronald E. Regele on June 5, 1954, in Marshfield.

Elvera was educated at Brighton School, and graduated from Spencer High School in 1947. She worked at Thorogood Shoe Factory for 47 ½ years, retiring in 1995.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Guild; also, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #624. She enjoyed going to the cabin at Phillips, fishing and hunting, going on trips, working for wedding and funeral dinners, and going to Florida to be with the grandchildren.

Elvera is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Mike) Aschenbrenner of Marshfield; grandchildren, Jenny (Gary) Zirbel, Shannon (Jesse) Erickson, and McKenzie Durbin (Josh) all of Florida; great-grandchildren, Madison Zirbel, Gavin, Riley, and Gage Erickson, Everett, Evander, Ezekiel Durbin.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; son, Brian on Jan. 17, 1980; sisters, Ruth Edelhardt Schade, Anita (Raymond) Griepentrog, Betty (Gordon) Schmoll, and Ione Miller; and brothers, Gordon (Loretta) Schwantes, and Dale Schwantes.

The family would like to thank Moments Hospice for the great care Mom received from their services when needed. And, special thanks to the beautiful angels that work at Safe Haven in Marshfield for caring for her and loving Mom as we loved her to the end. – We couldn’t have done it without you.
