Obituary
Gail J. Porter, age 84, of Arpin, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 3rd 2023.
Gail was born on September 24th, 1938 in Rockford, IL. to Ward and Mary Roberta Lowry. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1958. She married Donald Porter on February 7th, 1959 and moved to a Wisconsin dairy farm in 1962. After moving several more times the pair finally resided in Arpin, WI.
Gail enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, crocheting and quilting. She loved spending time with family and friends and using the phrase “While you’re up!”
Gail is lovingly survived by her husband of 64 years Donald. Her Children: Scott (Lynn) Porter of Almond, Mark (Laura) Porter of Cornell, Dawn (Rick) Burr of Mondovi and Danette (Lance) Jepsen of Milladore. She if further survived by 9 grandchildren: Jeremy Porter, Donald (Sierra) Porter, Terry (Tara) Porter, Jack Porter, Quinn Porter, Lane Porter, Amanda (Dominic) Gruber, Lee Jepsen, Anastasia Jepsen and 5 great grandchildren: Reign, Aubrey, Cora, Mason and Alexandria.
Gail is predeceased in death by her Father, Ward Lowry, Mother Mary Roberta Betts, Step Fathers Eddie Sopsazk and Wilbur Betts, Father-in-law Roy Porter, Mother-in-law Dorothy Porter and Sister-in-law Donna Stettner,
Per Gail’s wishes there will not be a formal funeral service.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses from Compassus Hospice Care.
