Gary Thurston Kobs

On August 5, 2023, Gary Thurston Kobs, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away at the age of 69 years.

Gary was born in Rockford, Illinois, on August 24, 1953, to Kenneth H. and Lucille L. (Gottschalk) Kobs. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1971, and lived most of his life in Marshfield, working at Rollohome Corp., Wick Building Systems and Figi’s Inc.

He is survived by a brother, Bruce (Brenda) Kobs of Chilton, and their children, Kendra (Chris) Lannbrecht, and Jonathan (Lauren) Kobs; and a sister, Julie Hastreiter of Marshfield, and her children, Andrea (Javier) Zea, Daniel Hastreiter, William (Polly) Hastreiter, and Nicholas Hastreiter. He is further survived by grandnieces, Emma, Chloe, and Kenzie Jo; and numerous cousins and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by parents, Ken and Dolly Kobs.

The graveside ceremony and committal will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family.
