Gary Lee Grimm, age 73, of Marshfield, passed away late Monday, September 15, 2025, in his home. A celebration of life will be held from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Bakerville Bar to share memories, food, and laughter in his honor. Burial will take place at Mound Cemetery in Pittsville at a later date.
Gary was born January 21, 1952, the son of Melvin and Janis (Pfundheller) Grimm in Wisconsin Rapids. He graduated from Pittsville High School in 1970. On June 17, 1972, Gary was united in marriage to the love of his life, Sharon Hofmann, at Corpus Christi in Bakerville.
Gary worked at Foremost Farms in Marshfield, for 31 years, retiring in 2002. Throughout his life, Gary enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, and socializing with friends. Gary had a passion for golfing, and on June 28th, 2016, he scored his first ever hole-in-one at MCC. Gary loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and especially treasured hunting with his grandson, Reese, on his land in Pittsville. Those who knew Gary best will miss his laughter, fiery spirit, and presence.
Gary is lovingly survived by his wife: Sharon; children: Troy (Heidi) Grimm of Marshfield, WI, and Tracy (Ryan) Miller of Omro, WI; grandchildren: Bryce Grimm, Reese Miller, Wyatt Miller, Mazie Miller; mother: Janis Grimm; sisters: Marilyn (Gerald) Iwanski of Hewitt, WI, Peggy Grimm of San Diego, CA, and Carolyn (Mike) Kohlbeck of Stillwater, MN. Gary is further survived by brother and sisters-in-law: Richard (Marlene) Hofmann, Sandy (Harry) Jonas, Gloria (Dennis- deceased) Wolf, Kathy Schutz, Betty (Rudy) Molina, Darlene (Joe) Donovan; and many nieces and nephews. He will truly be missed.
Gary is preceded in death by his father, Melvin Grimm; his infant brother, Arlan; as well as his father-in-law, Rudolph Hofmann; and mother-in-law, Helen (Diers) Hofmann.
