Gregory P. Schulte

Gregory Peter Schulte, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at the age of 78, at the Marshfield Medical Center. He was surrounded by family at his side.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy. in Marshfield), with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Military Honors will follow the service at the funeral home.

Gregory was born April 15, 1947, in Marshfield, to Leo and Myrtle (Kennedy) Schulte. He was united in marriage to Carol (Derfus) on June 25, 1977.

Greg attended Marshfield Senior High, graduating in 1965. He worked at Marshfield Door for 45 years, retiring in 2009.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mowing the lawn, watching old Westerns, and listening to classic country music (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Kenny Rogers). He also enjoyed the Burger King Coffee Gang.

Greg is survived by his wife, Carol; daughter, Krystal; siblings, Sue (Al) Weister, Pat Urso, and Jeff (Bonnie) Schulte. He will be sadly missed by family and friends; and his cat, Sissy.

He is preceded in death by parents, Leo and Myrtle Schulte; and his in-laws, Frank and Martha Derfus.
