We are sad to announce the passing of Harold E. Zelms Jr. of Marshfield, WI. originally from Cicero, Illinois. He passed away at his house at the mere age of 70 years old. Harold was born on May 26th 1952, to the parents of Harold Zelms Sr. and Carlota Zelms of Illinois where he spent the majority of his life residing in. In his younger years, Harold joined the Marine Corps. In 1974, he met the love of his life, Sandra White, who he then married a few years later on December 3rd 1977. Sandra and Harold have 9 wonderful children together. Harold spent many of his years working for Gavin Electric, Walmart, and random side jobs.
Harold is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sandra Zelms (White), whom he was married to for 46 years. Also surviving, are his 9 children, Lori Carlson (Jill), Christine Chapman (Jesse), Denice King (Anthony), Harold Zelms III, Joseph Zelms, Edward Zelms (Billie), Kevin Zelms (Courtney Z), Anthony Zelms (Courtney S), Michael Zelms (Kim); His sisters, Donna, Debbie, Dawn and Diane, as well as, his younger brother, John. Harold also has 28 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces/nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Harold Zelms Sr. and Carlota Zelms, brother William Zelms, and grandson Jacob Carlson. Harold was a Godly man who was devoted to his Church. He had a strong sense of faith and always had wise words to share. Outside of church, Harold loved to bowl, partake in horse-racing, cooking, spending time with his family/loved ones, and his precious dogs.
A family prayer service will be held at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. A gathering time will be from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
