Iloe M. Arent

Iloe Maureen Arent, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 31, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI. Her last few days were spent with family and friends having great conversation and prayer time.

Iloe was the fourth child of Roy and Elsie Oatman and grew up on a ranch near Johnstown, Nebraska. On January 31, 1952, she married Leslie Arent and they were blessed to share 63 years together. They lived and worked on several ranches in Nebraska and in 1962 bought a farm and moved to Wausau, WI, where they raised their family. They have lived in Waupaca, WI, Cotter, AR, Springfield, MO, and Marshfield, WI, where she has continued to live since Leslie’s death in 2015.

Iloe had a “green thumb” as evidenced by the beautiful plants in her home and over the years, has enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting and sewing. When retiring, she learned to quilt, making beautiful quilts and bedspreads for her children and grandchildren. In recent years, she loved to do paint by numbers and diamond dots. She was proud to live independently in her apartment that she shared with her dog, Teddy. She loved attending North Ridge church and spending time with family and friends. She was a “prayer warrior” and one of her greatest joys was to be able to pray and have many conversations or phone calls ending with “tears and prayers!”

Iloe is survived by her family, Helen and Wayne Pattengill, Marshfield, WI, Mary and Mark Boone, Brainerd, MN, Julie and Gar Knobbe, Omaha, NE, Linda and Denny Christenson, Marshfield, WI, Bonnie and Dean Krubsack, Birnamwood, WI, and Nawaz and Lisa Lalani, McKinney, TX. She is “Nana” to 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie; parents, Roy and Elsie Oatman; and siblings, Marjorie, Dale, Bob and Vernon.

Visitation at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, Sunday, April 6, 4-6 pm. Memorial Service at North Ridge Church in Marshfield, Monday, April 7, 12:00 pm, Visitation at church one hour prior to service.
