Janet Baird Obituary

Janet C. (Campbell) Baird, age 74, of Arpin, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center.

The family would like to thank the staff, and doctors Rosemary and Martin Reriani, for all the care they provided to Janet in her time of need.

The memorial service will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (7735 Yellowstone Drive in Hewitt) on Thursday, March 3, 2022. Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dean Pingel officiating. Visitation will be at the church before the service, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Janet was born to Rayburn and Helen (McClaran) Campbell at Sewickly Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania, on Jan. 14, 1948. She attended Central Grade School, and then finished her schooling at Coraopolis High – Class of 1965.

After finishing high school, Janet went to work for Fisher Scientific and worked there until she started nursing school. She attended Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1981.

Throughout the years, Janet loved to travel. She was lucky to be able to make lasting memories with her good friend, Pam B. Their adventures took them to Tahiti, and on some cruises to other beautiful places.

In Janet fashion, her adventurous spirit took her to a small town in Wisconsin. While living in Marshfield, Wisconsin, and working as an RN for St. Joseph’s Hospital, she agreed to go on a date with a single father of three. As it turned out, Douglas L. Baird was the one whom her soul was searching for. Doug and Janet were married on Oct. 25, 1985, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hewitt, Wisconsin. A few years later, Janet officially became Mom to Dawn, Derek and Dana through the adoption process.

Janet continued to enjoy the farm life and raising her children. One of her greatest joys was to spend time with her grandchildren and have adventures with her loving husband.

Janet’s spirit and memories will live on in the hearts of those she loved, including husband, Doug; children, Dawn (Todd), Derek (Amanda), and Dana; grandchildren, Maisie (Carlos), Camden, Brooklyn, Devin, Ethan, Daymian, Madisyn, Ayva, Daytin, Dayne, Daxtyn, Tamara, Thomas, Joey, Maverick and Kashton; her niece, Jen (Brian); nephew, Christopher; and great-niece, Evelyn. Janet is further survived by a cousin; sister-and-brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

We will always carry your memory in our hearts! Love you much!
