Janice Loiselle, age 88, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21st, 2022 at Edgewater Haven in Port Edwards, WI.
Janice was born January 11th, 1934, the daughter of Jack and Virginia (Pinion) Morse in Marshfield. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1951. She obtained her nursing degree from St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1954. She spent her entire nursing career at St. Joseph’s Hospital, caring for the pediatric population. She was known for helping to decorate the entire pediatric ward at Christmas time, something her children were recruited into helping with.
Janice enjoyed listening to many genres of music (this music could be heard throughout the neighborhood!), painting ceramics, and doing crossword puzzles. She had a great love for animals, many of her pets preceded her in death, most recently her beloved Maggie. Janice was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. For many years, she enjoyed attending Drum and Bugle Corp competitions with her family and taking walks at Powers Bluff and Richfield County Park. Those that knew Janice best will miss her love of everything Christmas, her candy drawer, and her generous spirit of showering her family with gifts.
Janice is lovingly survived by her 5 children: Joe Loiselle of Hewitt, WI; Jim (Shari) Loiselle of Tomahawk, WI; Linda (Rusty) Weise of Rochester, MN; Lynette (Mark) Hindal of Rochester, MN; and Rob Loiselle of Marshfield.
She is further survived by 13 grandchildren: Nick (Jordan) Krasne and Alex (Liz) Krasne, Eric (Shari Rae) Loiselle, Jackie Loiselle, Michelle Loiselle, and Kim (Brandon) Loiselle, Ben (Elissa) Weise, Kayla (Tyler) Weise, and Alyssa (Andrew) Loth, Ellie (Jake) Wilke and Emily (Clayton) Beck, Rayna and Lindee Loiselle. Nine great-grandchildren and her sister Mary Helen (Terry) Anderson of Greendale, WI and their two children.
Janice is preceded in death by her daughter, Laura Krasne. She will join her and other loved ones in eternal rest.
Janice’s family would like to thank the staff at Edgewater Haven in Port Edwards, WI for the care they provided her over the last two years and Compassus Hospice.
Per Janice’s request there will be no funeral service. Memorials can be sent to the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter or the Wildwood Park and Zoo in her honor.
