Jean Haske

Jean Ida Haske, age 82, passed away late Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at Willow Brooke Point Senior Living in Stevens Point.

Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Jean was born April 21, 1942, the daughter of John L. and Betty (Hansen) Haske, in Madison. She moved with her parents to a farm in the Town of Rock near Nasonville, and attended Marshfield Schools. She married Peter Rhodes of Marshfield. They later divorced. Her early employment was at Normington Laundry, and she retired from ODC.

Jean was a huge Elvis fan. She attended many Elvis tribute shows and concerts, and owned DVDs of his concerts and movies, and much memorabilia.

She was an animal lover. Growing up on the farm, there were always dogs and cats around. Her favorite was a sheep named “Tilly.” She received it as a lamb from a neighbor and it spent its entire life on the farm.

Jean is preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Henry and Ethel Hansen, and John and Caroline Haske.
