Jenna Marie Kopf

JenMarie passed away Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at St. Mary’s Hospital/Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, from complications of her lifelong fight with Vascular Ehlors-Danlos.

JenMarie was born on February 14th, 1990, to Patrick and Jolynn (Merkel) Kopf at St Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield, WI. Jenna attended grade school and high school in Marshfield. After High School Jenna worked at Miller’s Alternative Care, Weiler’s convenience stores, and then Marshfield Senior Services.

JenMarie had big dreams, and much like her mother, she was a caring and kind soul with a big heart and was striving for a career in healthcare. She completed her HSED and was so proud and excited about it that she found the confidence and courage to continue on, and she enrolled in the Health Information Management program at Mid-State Technical College.

When JenMarie wasn’t playing online games with her many online friends, she enjoyed going out to eat at her favorite Indian restaurants with her friends or cousin. She also enjoyed going to a Chinese buffet or Pizza Ranch with her father on Sunday for all the mashed potatoes and stuffing she could get, two things that made Thanksgiving one of her favorite holidays. She also enjoyed watching movies or shows with friends, especially Halloween themed or spooky movies with her best friend around the Halloween weekend. While money did not allow its frequency, she also loved to travel, especially to Vegas.

JenMarie is survived and will be missed by her father, Patrick Kopf; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Nancy Hanson; and numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Jolynn (Merkel)Kopf; brother, Kurt Michael Kopf; maternal grandfather, Richard Merkel; paternal grandparents, James Andrew Kopf, Melita (Kopf)Tiffany, Lester Tiffany; and maternal great-grandparents, Arthur and Anita Schirpke.

A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday October 31st, 2025, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI. The visitation will start at 3pm and a funeral service will be conducted by Deacon Ray at 4pm with a potluck meal to follow.

a letter from JenMarie:

“I started working on my HSED 5 years ago, at the very beginning of covid. That was a very tough time for a lot of people, so I kind of put the program on the back burner because it seemed intimidating. While completing this program, I’ve learned that no matter how hard you think something may be, do it. It’s probably not as bad as you expect it to be. Once you’re done, you’ll feel so accomplished and proud like I do. I think I healed a part of my inner child doing this and it feels so great and freeing. A huge weight lifted right off my shoulders.

I feel so proud of myself and much more confident now than ever. Something I thought I could never do, I set my mind to it and finished. I am so very grateful this program exists to help people like me succeed.”
