JoAnn E. Schalow

JoAnn E. Schalow, 90, of Marshfield, WI, passed away early Saturday morning, December 13, 2025, at the home of her son, Jeff, in Marshfield. Per JoAnn's request, there will be no service.

JoAnn was born on April 27,1935, the daughter of Alvin Heidrich and Louise (Missar) Heidrich in Marshfield. She graduated from Marshfield Senior High School. On October 31, 1953, JoAnn was united in marriage to Gerald E. Schalow.  They later divorced.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshfield, WI.

JoAnn was a bookkeeper for her Dad, then later at Marshfield Auto & Implement, operated Leisure Lounge, worked at Wenzel Farm and Walmart. In her spare time, she enjoyed bowling (attending many State and National Bowling Tournaments), watching the Badgers, Brewers and Packers, and trips to the casino.

JoAnn is lovingly survived by her daughters, Beth (Del) Rustad, Marshfield, WI, and Shelly Bushman, Lake Placid, Florida; son, Jeff (Chris), Marshfield, WI, and ex daughter-in-law, Dianne Schalow, Marshfield, WI. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Brad Schalow, Eau Claire, WI, Erin Schalow, Sevilla, Spain, Gerritt (Paula) Rustad, Arpin, WI, and Cale (Christina) Rustad, Hudson, WI; her great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Schalow and Rylee Schalow, Eau Claire, WI, Conner Rustad and Noah Rustad, Arpin, WI, and Dominic Rustad and Kenzie Ries, Hudson, WI. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Louise Heidrich; son-in-law, Bill Bushman; daughter, Debby Schalow; and aunts; uncles; and cousins.
