On Saturday, December 31, 2022, Joseph John Krasne, father of four sons and grandfather of four beautiful grandchildren, passed away at age 69 due to unexpected heart complications prior to beginning cancer treatment.
Joe was born on May 10, 1953, in Marshfield, WI, to Sylvester and Rosey (Ogryzek) Krasne. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1971. He worked for Wick Building Systems for thirty-three years before joining the team at Wheelers of Marshfield for thirteen years. Joe was also proud of his nine years of service as a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the community of Marshfield.
Joe’s love of the Green Bay Packers was legendary. He enjoyed attending many games with his sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren. Joe also loved spending time at his cabin on Butternut Lake and was an avid deer hunter. He was a devoted hockey dad when his boys were younger. Joe also had a passion for music and playing his guitar.
Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife Laura (Loiselle) Krasne, his parents, and his brother, Tom Krasne.
Joe is survived by his four sons, Jason (Katie) Krasne of Sun Prairie, WI, Jeremy (Stephanie) Krasne of Centennial, CO, Nicholas (Jordan) Krasne of Oshkosh, WI, and Alex (Elizabeth) Krasne of Naperville, IL; four grandchildren, Kajsa, Casen, Charleigh, and IdaMae; his brothers, John Krasne and Dan Krasne; his sisters, Irene (Jim) Engel, Mary (Phil) Borofka, and Sue (Ardy) Weiland; and many other cherished family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 16, 2022, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway in Marshfield at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Heather Brown of Faith Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation with the family will be held from 10 a.m. until the service begins.
