Karla Litherland Hewuse

January 15, 1953 - November 25, 2021 (age 68)

  Josh and I were with Karla as she passed Thanksgiving afternoon, Karla has found a greater peace. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

 Karla was born in La Crosse, WI. the daughter of Thomas B. Litherland and Lois (Gillespie) Litherland. She married Tod Hewuse, December 11, 1976. Karla and Tod have one son, Joshua Hewuse, and his wife Sarah, their children, Norah, Alice, and Micah living in Eagan, MN.

  Karla was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas B. and Lois Litherland and her brother, Thomas Allen Litherland. Karla will be missed by her husband Tod Hewuse and son, Joshua Hewuse and his family, loving friends Sue, Sue, Daryl, and Dave, and others. Let’s not forget the cats. Missy, Mr. T. and Bud.

  Karla graduated with honors from University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. With B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy. Karla was employed with Wood County Unified Services and Community Care of Central Wisconsin.

  Thank you, Marshfield Clinic departments of Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, and the Abbotsford Health Center for professional guidance to find a greater comfort for Karla. Thank you, Ruth, and your team, from Heartland Hospice giving us strength to endure. You all stay safe, and God bless.
