Kathy L. Knapp

Kathy L. Knapp, age 71, of  Marshfield, WI, passed away early Saturday morning, August 23, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 29th at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Parkway in Marshfield, WI.) Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of celebration. A potluck luncheon will follow the services.

Kathy was born November 23rd, 1953, the daughter of Howard and Viola (Schulze) Anderson in Stanley, WI. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1971. On April 21st,1979, Kathy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Douglas Knapp, at Pittsville United Church of Christ in Pittsville, WI. Prior to starting a family, Kathy worked for Thorp Finance and Johnson Garments. As her family grew older, Kathy started working for Wood County Head Start Marshfield Center as a bus driver then as a cook. She felt a great sense of pride feeding the children and hearing them call her grandma Kathy.

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows, listening to music, thrifting and garage sales. She especially enjoyed time with her beloved grandchildren. Those who knew Kathy best will miss her smile, quick wit and her love of visiting family and friends.

Kathy is lovingly survived by her husband: Doug; children: Adam & Andrea Knapp, Brian Knapp, Mark Knapp and Travis Knapp of Marshfield; siblings: Dale and Judy Anderson of Marshfield, Darlene Peche of Medford. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Amelia Knapp, Aaliyah Knapp, Emmanuel Knapp, Emma Knapp, Hannah Knapp, Harisen Knapp and Savannah Dayton. She is also survived by many cousins; nieces; and nephews.

She will truly be missed.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents: Howard and Viola Anderson; as well as brothers-in-law: Carl (Butch) Knapp, Deward (Gene) Knapp, Ron Knapp, and Victor Peche.
