Kenneth J. Lieble, age 87, of Auburndale died on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center.
Funeral services for Kenny will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Auburndale. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Monday.
Kenny Lieble married Grace Schill on July 6, 1995 at Little Brown Church, Nashua, IA. A celebration was held on July 7th, 1995 at the Auburndale Shelter House, where they celebrated their wedding and birthdays after midnight.
He formed the Fireman 5 polka band in the 1970’s where they played in the Auburndale fire hall. Kenny & Grace played for many weddings, anniversaries, dances and picnics all around the state with many band members including Roger Hartl, Wayne Hollatz, Nubs Pongratz, Jerry Sternitzky, Gary Shirek and Gary Grassel.
Kenny was the Auburndale fire chief and farmed for many years. He worked for Arpin Dairy/Simplot as a fieldman, drove school buses and charter buses, drive milk truck and semi truck. He was also a cab driver for Charlie in Mosinee.
Kenny is survived by his wife Grace, his children: Debbie (Dennis), Mike (Theresa), Deena, Brian (Barb), Jamie, Jackie, nine grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Sister: Pat (Bill) Meyer and her son Kevin (Bonnie) Meyer, son-in-law Brian Piesik and 3 grandchildren.
He is also survived by Grace’s children: Shirley (Dan) Vollert, Nancy (Randy) Pongratz, Ronnie (Barb), Donna (Steve) Dain, Laurie (Raymond) Kieffer, Lisa (Greg) Moen, Mark, Connie (Troy) Schubert, Jim (Nicki), 24 Step-Grandchildren, 22 Step-Great Grandchildren, one on the way in April and two Step-Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Kenny is predeceased by his parents, Walter & Bertha (Vanden Bergen) Lieble and niece Melissa Piesik.
