Lee Norman Burt, age 83, of Marshfield, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy. in Marshfield), with the Rev. Mark Krueger officiating. Burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services.
Lee was born on Sep. 13, 1939, in Marshfield, the son of Lloyd and Edith (Brown) Burt. He graduated from Marshfield High School in 1958. On June 12, 1965, Lee was united in marriage to the love of his life, Joyce Jannusch, in Hustler, Wisconsin – they were married for 57 years.
He served in the U.S. Army, and later the National Guard, and was a member of American Legion Post 54 in Marshfield, Hub City Central Model Railroad Club, and the Rock Dam Lake Association.
In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, flea markets, and especially anything trains. Those who knew Lee best will miss his love of history.
Lee is lovingly survived by his wife, Joyce; son, Lyle (Deanna); and grandsons, Aiden and Riley. He is further survived by his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Edith; as well as his brothers, Robert, Donald and James.
