Mary Ann Fischer, age 70, passed away November 13, 2021, peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a three-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Mary was born on October 5, 1951, in Marshfield, WI to Wayne & Agnes (Weinfurter) Buchanan. She graduated from Columbus High School in Marshfield, WI and married her high school sweetheart, Dave Fischer, and had four beautiful daughters.
Mary lived a life filled with travel and camping. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers. She loved to bake and would always say “when you bake you bake with love.” She was a doting wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed dearly by her family and friends for her kindness, humor, and warmth.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne & Agnes Buchanan; infant sister, Marie Buchanan; and brother, James Buchanan. She is survived by her loving husband, Dave Fischer; sister, Carol Forbes of Madison; four children: Melanie Fortner of Arpin, Erin (Evan) Richardson of Minneapolis, Kim (Tom) Carroll of Plover, Kelly (Carson) Doriot of Medford; seven grandchildren: Samuel & Ava Fortner, Wyatt, Jack & Kree Doriot and Naomi & Kai Richardson.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
