Mary Lou Nennig, age 81 of Marshfield, WI, passed away the morning of January 1, 2026, at House of the Dove in Marshfield. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Marshfield. Gathering of family and friends will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. until service time at church. Burial will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hewitt, WI, at a later date.
Mary Lou was born September 15, 1944, the daughter of William and Philomene (Pankratz) Schneider in Marshfield, WI.
Mary Lou retired from Marshfield Door after 38 years of service.
In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, bingo, spinner dominos, bus trips and watching game shows.
She also especially enjoyed Sunday suppers with her brother Steve’s family.
Mary Lou is lovingly survived by her children: Gary of Tucson, AZ, and Gail (Pat) Guldan of Phillips, WI. Grandchildren: Amanda (Ryan) Coward, Luke Guldan, Laura (Noah) Pozega; and 4 great-grandchildren. Siblings: Doris Zahn, James (Carol) Schneider, Catherine (Douglas) Hafermann, Eugene (Nancy) Schneider, and Stephen (Linda) Schneider. Sisters-in-law: Diane Schneider, and Beverly Schneider.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Richard, Leon, Raymond, and Herbert, Paul and Joan in infancy; sisters-in-law, Marie Schneider, and Janice Schneider; brother-in-law, Norman Zahn; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Guldan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated in Mary’s name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church - Marshfield or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
