Mercy Vallejo Simpson

Mercy Vallejo Simpson, age 50, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, February 24, 2026, with her husband by her side at their home in Marshfield, WI. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield. Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 1:00 until 5:00pm and again two hours prior to the service on Sunday, March 8 at 9:00am.

Mercy was born January 31, 1976, in a small village in the Philippines. She wanted to be an American citizen, and her dream came true when she married her husband Jeffery Simpson on December 19, 2001. Mercy described herself as different woman, strict, frank, but most of all a loving wife. She and Jeff complemented each other for 24 years. She was a loving daughter and sister, and a strict aunt. She loved her family and helped many nieces and nephews through their schooling, so they wouldn’t be a burden in the world.

Mercy is lovingly survived by her husband Jeffery Simpson, her mother, four sisters, three brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Mercy is preceded in death by her father. Mercy is also survived by her mother-in-law, a sister-in-law and her husband, a brother-in-law, and nieces and nephews. Mercy is preceded in death by her father-in-law.

Mercy was a strong, hard-working woman and gave 100% every day on the job. When she met Jeff, she worked in a factory sewing towels in Manila, Philippines. Upon her arrival in the United States, she held factory jobs. Most recently she worked at PCA, Packing Corp of America. She loved her job and especially the people she worked with.

At home she was passionate about baking, reading, and travel. She was loved by many and will be missed very much. God took an angel home way too soon.

Mercy was a God-fearing woman who was strong in her faith. There is no more pain. You fought a good fight. See you on that blessed resurrection morning. Good night. See you on that glorious day.
