Mildred Ule Obituary

Mildred Elaine "Millie" Ule, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 11, 2011 at the age of 90. She had been a resident of Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega. Private family services will be held at a later date. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield is in charge of the cremation services. Mildred was born September 3, 1920 in the town of Richfield to Paul and Lillian (Stover) Schiller. She was united in marriage to Frank Joseph Ule II on February 16, 1938. He preceded her in death on June 28, 1981. Mildred operated a successful drapery business out of her home for many years making drapes for a Michigan based company. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield for many years. Millie will always be remembered as a gifted seamstress and a master quilter. She had a tremendous eye for detail and was known as a perfectionist. "A place for everything and everything in its place" she was known to say. Mildred is lovingly survived by four sons and three daughters, James (Phyllis) Ule, Woodstock, IL, Frank Jr. (Mary Ellen) Ule, Winters, WI, Norman (LaVerne) Ule and Lyle (Mary) Ule both of Auburndale, Sheila (Richard) Zimmerman, Crystal Lake, IL, Sharon (James) McCarty, Roscoe, IL and Shelby Conley, Woodstock, IL, a daughter-in-law, Marilyn (Gerald) Ule, Auburndale, 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-granchildren. She is further survived by two brothers and a sister, Gerald "Shorty" (Lola) Schiller and Vernon (Jean) Schiller both of McHenry, IL, M Lorraine Sheriden, Rockford, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Ramona Mae at the age of 1 day old in 1941 and a son, Gerald "Jerry" Ule who was sadly taken from the family in 2002. She was further preceded in death by a sister, Arlene and six brothers, Dale, Clayton, Glenn, Clifford, Lawrence and Raymond Schiller.
