Monica Ann (Bangart) Wolf

Monica Ann (Bangart) Wolf, age 85, of Spencer, loving wife and mother of 15 children, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at her home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ The King Catholic Church, 208 S. Lasalle Street, Spencer, on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Barry Saylor officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Loyal. Visitation for family and friends will be at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 201 S. Lasalle Street, Spencer from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, and again one hour before the time of service at the church on Monday.

Monica was born on July 14, 1937 in the town of Rozellville, WI to Anthony & Mercedes (Kloos) Bangart.  She attended St. Andrews Parochial School in Rozellville, WI. 

On November 12, 1955 she married the love of her life, Norman Wolf.  Together they raised 9 girls and 6 boys in Loyal, WI.  There they owned/operated a farm and Wolf’s Sawmill until 1982.  They were members of St. Anthony’s Church where Monica used her beautiful voice in the choir and donated any extra time, she had available to help for any special occasions there.

Monica had many hobbies such as crocheting, bowling, cards, pool, gardening, bird watch and playing various musical instruments with Norm and friends.  She had some quick wit, a great smile, a huge heart and was extremely kind and compassionate to everyone she met.

Monica was preceded in death by son Allan M. Wolf.  Her parents Tony & Mercedes Bangart, sisters Patsy Bangart, Sister Antoinette (Beatrice), Joann Aschebrock, brothers James Bangart, Terry Bangart, and Tom Bangart.  Her Parents-In-laws, Frank & Mildred Wolf.

Monica is survived by her husband, Norman Wolf, her children, Joseph (Debi) Wolf, Marlene (John) Holdal, Lorraine (David) Deegan, Edward (Annmarie) Wolf, Theresa (Devery) Hilt, Kay (Keith) Raatz, Lyle (Julie) Wolf, Donna (Robert) Olson, Debra (Jody) Brecht, Tina (Mike) Berres, Cindy (Brian) Benz, Daniel (Jessica) Wolf, Barbara (Kevin) Dampier and William (Melody Best-friend) Wolf.  38 Grand-Children and 60 Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Monica’s grandsons, Tyler Wolf, Rodney Deegan, Travis Wolf, Shaun Schober, Troy Shull, Kyle Wolf, Reggie Olson, Terry Brecht, Brendon Wolf and Scott Wolf.
