Patty Farnsworth

Patty Farnsworth, age 87, of  Marshfield, passed away early on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Marshfield Health Services. A funeral of Christian Burial will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at 9:00 am until 11:00 am at church on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, prior to service at 11:00 am.

Patty was born February 6, 1936, in Clark County in the Town of Lynn, the daughter of Carl Sternitzky and Blanche (Wittke) Sternitzky. She graduated from Granton High School in 1953. On August 7, 1954, Patty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Darryl Farnsworth. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in August, 2019.  In their younger years, Patty and Darryl (Fuzzy) enjoyed snowmobiling with "the gang," listened to country music, attended over 20 years at Country Fest, and enjoyed camping.

In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, going to polka dances, hosting family events, and celebrating her faith. She especially enjoyed sharing time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Patty is lovingly survived by her children: Debbie (Bill) Nelles of Marshfield, Dennis (Carrie) Farnsworth of Black River Falls, and Dawn (Dan) Doornhaag of Michigan; grandchildren:  Melanie (Sean) Tafaro, Nicole (Chantz) Barnett, Sam and Joshua Farnsworth, Tanner (Jamie) Farnsworth, Marissa (Nico) Colson, Dan (Jessica) Doornhaag, Sally (Justin) Vonsprecken; as well as many beautiful great-grandchildren. Patty is further survived by sister-in-law, Phyllis Sternitzky; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Patty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Darryl Farnsworth; and son, David Farnsworth. She is further preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and siblings.

Special thanks to Pastor Schwanz and Pastor Radde for all their visits and prayers; as well as the Surgical ICU and 3rd floor staff at Marshfield Medical Center and the compassionate staff at Marshfield Health Services.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
