Philip Dallman Obituary

Philip L. Dallman joined Jesus on Monday, August 16, 2021, at the age of 67. He was at home with his family after a very swift illness.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 E. Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, WI 54449, on Tuesday, August 24.  Visitation will begin at 3:30 pm with Christian Prayer Service at 6 pm followed by the Veterans Flag-Folding Ceremony. Burial will be at a future date in Elderon, WI.

Phil is survived by his wife, Diane (Schmitt); his children, Michelle Lowitz, Christopher, David, Pamela (Sinclair) and Ruth Dallman; five beautiful grandchildren, Damon, Courtney, Logan (Dallman), Dilan (Dallman), Kollin (Sinclair); his mother, Lorraine Dallman; his brother, Steve (Mary) Dallman, sisters, Barbara (Steve) Hall, and Kathy (Mark) Larson; his former wife, Suzanne; and many other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Lloyd (1929-1982); and his brother-in-law, Joseph Klink (1954-1989).

Phil served in the U.S. Navy for six years and then received his pharmaceutical degree at UW Madison. He was employed as a Pharmacist in Marshfield for many years, retiring in 2014 from St. Joseph Hospital (Ascension).

His love of nature drew him to explore through hiking in the great outdoors and photography. But his passion during the last half-century of his life was sharing his experience, strength, and faith in Our Lord and Savior with those on the journey of recovery from alcohol addiction. Phil was never too busy to help another in time of need. He leaves behind many who were blessed by his efforts.

He dearly loved his family and friends. He looked to God’s word for direction; Matthew 25:21 so aptly describes Phil: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”  He loved to laugh, play with puns, joke and make life fun. In all he did, he shared God’s message of love. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends, his Christian Fellowship and Recovery Fellowship.

Phil’s family wishes to sincerely thank Marshfield Hospital 8th floor staff and Hospice Care staff. We give special thanks and appreciation to Heartland Hospice and AdvaCare Home Services who treated Phil and his whole family with so much kindness and loving care to his last breath. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Mary’s Place or Shirley’s House of Hope; giving information can be found on each individual website.
