Phyllis Arlene (Wills) Tuggle, 71, of Marshfield, WI formerly of Tilton and Georgetown, IL, passed away with family and friends at her side February 1, 2025. She was born in Danville on November 2, 1953, the eldest daughter of Robert and Imogene (Pratt) Wills.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Dale Tuggle and had two children Jonathan and Jennifer Tuggle both of Wisconsin.
Phyllis became an LPN at Lakeview College of Nursing in Danville IL after high school and then went on to become an RN
She started her career in Danville IL at St Elizabeth Hospital and also at Lakeview Hospital. She worked several years in the cardiovascular lab at the hospital and for Dr. Mushtaq’s office. In the late 1990’s early 2000’s she became a travel RN. Her first (and only) assignment was Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield on 6 North General Medicine, where she stayed until she could no longer work.
Phyllis was a very loving and nurturing person which made her a very good nurse. She continued to mentor anyone seeking to work in the medical field up to the end.
She will be missed dearly by her family and friends. The world has lost a wonderful, caring person and Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.
She is survived by her two children, grandchildren Jordan and Julian of Wisconsin; sisters Rhonda DeBarba of Wisconsin and Virginia Banks (Scott Creason) of Danville, IL; Nieces Jessica and Shelby DeBarba; nephew Tanner (Mei) Rodgers; great nieces Ellie, Kennedy and scarlet; Step-father Paul Hamand and very close friend Melody Wirkus. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Charles Peelman, and Brother-in -Law Robert Banks.
There will be no services per her wishes. Her ashes will be laid to rest with her mother at Sunset Memorial Park in Il.
